Self
Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulator

The SCENAR is a hand-held non-invasive electro-stimulatory
therapeutic medical device that is used to treat pain – both acute
and chronic. |
The SCENAR is a small, hand-held device which delivers non-invasive and
non-painful electrical stimulation via the skin.
It is an interactive, reflex
bio-feedback therapy used to relieve pain, thereby reducing disability and
recovery times and improving functionality.
It can be effective in
treating both acute and chronic pain.
Responsiveness to SCENAR
treatment and improvement is often apparent from the first treatment.
The theory of
electro-energetic therapy is that our health relies on the continuous
exchange of neuro information and energy within the body, ensuring dynamic
equilibrium ie. homeostasis. Regulation of the body’s vital functions is
achieved though interaction between the nervous, immune and hormonal systems
which work in harmony until painful stress, injury or disease disrupts those
communication and energy pathways.
The SCENAR creates an
interactive dialogue with the body by finding and treating painful problem
areas through the skin. The electrical impulses from the device communicate
with the nervous system to stimulate the body’s inherent regulatory and
self-healing processes, with minimal undesirable side effects.
It is able to locate and
digitally monitor the patient’s specific problem areas, which means each
treatment is individually personalised, based on the particular responses
generated by the body.
The device was developed in
Russia during the space race era and was authorized for clinical use by the
Health Ministry of Russia in 1986. Today it is used around the World as a
medical electro-therapy modality with many applications.
SCENAR Treatment Program
The treatment is
non-invasive with the recipient feeling only a gentle tingling or
stroking sensation. The treatment is compatible with all other treatments
except major chiropractic or osteopathic manipulations which may interfere
with the subtle changes created by SCENAR therapy.
Individuals, who are pregnant, have pacemakers or implanted stimulators
cannot receive SCENAR treatment.
Each treatment takes between
60 - 90 minutes. A course of treatment will vary according to the specific
complaint(s).
-
For more acute, recent
problems 1 – 3 treatments are generally required.
-
For chronic and more
complex cases 6 – 12 treatments – once or twice a week.
Side Effects
It is a very safe therapy as
the SCENAR impulse is similar to the body’s own nerve impulses. Mild,
temporary, short-lived aggravations can occur but are seen as part of the
recovery process. These may occur at any stage of the treatment program.
